Nicht nur zum Oktoberfest, Kirmes oder Weihnachtsmarkt sind sie beliebt: die Lebkuchenherzen. Es gibt sie mit unterschiedlichsten Beschriftungen und in allen möglichen Farben. Und wer hat sich nicht gefreut, wenn er mal eines geschenkt bekommen hat?
Wenn Sie gerne handarbeiten und auch mal eine neue Technik ausprobieren wollen, ist diese Anleitung genau richtig für Sie. Die Doubleface-Technik ist nicht schwer zu erlernen, bietet aber die Möglichkeit wirklich individuelle Topflappen zu erstellen. Ob für sich selbst, als Deko für die nächste Oktoberfest-Mottoparty oder als Geschenk für andere, bleibt jedem selbst überlassen Die Anleitung enthält außer der Anleitung für die beiden abgebildeten Topflappen noch zwei Bonusmotive.
Das besondere an diesen Topflappen ist, dass man zwei komplett unterschiedliche Seiten für einen Topflappen gestalten kann. Durch die Technik werden die Topflappen auch schön dick und somit hervorragend isolierend. Gleichzeitig spart man sich – bis auf den Abschluss - das Vernähen der Fäden, da diese direkt in den Topflappen eingearbeitet werden.
Mit diesem Download erhalten Sie eine ausführliche, 36-seitige PDF-Datei mit der Beschreibung und Fotos der Technik sowie den Vorlagen für die gezeigten Topflappen in deutsch. Die Beschreibung enthält außerdem grafische Zähl-Vorlagen und Color-Block-Angaben für jede Reihe der einzelnen Motive. Zusätzlich wird eine Anleitung der Grundtechnik mit vergrößerten Fotos zur Verfügung gestellt. Darin findet man auch einen Link zu einem Video-Tutorial mit der Grundtechnik des Doubleface-Häkelns.
Es werden Kenntnisse und eine gewisse Routine im Häkeln (Luftmasche, feste Masche, Kettmasche) vorausgesetzt. Kenntnisse der Doubleface-Technik sind von Vorteil, aber nicht zwingend nötig. Die Technik wird in der Anleitung ausführlich erläutert. Wer diese Technik zum ersten Mal anwendet, sollte zuerst nach der Anleitung ein kleines Probestück häkeln, um das Prinzip zu erfassen. Diese Topflappen zu häkeln erfordert einige Konzentration und Geduld, da jeweils 4 - 5 Farben zum Einsatz kommen.
An Material benötigen Sie für ein Paar Topflappen 1 Knäul Wolle in Braun sowie Reste in Grün, Gelb, Rot, Blau und Weiß (z. B. Schachenmayr Catania oder vergleichbare Qualität: 100 % Baumwolle, 125 m Lauflänge auf 50 g) sowie eine zur Dicke der Wolle passende Häkelnadel.

Tutorial doubleface potholders „Gingerbread heart“
Gingerbread hearts are not only popular at Oktoberfest or fairs. They come with all kinds of inscriptions and in all kinds of colors. And who hasn't received one as a gift?
If you enjoy needlework and want to try a new technique, this tutorial is for you. The Doubleface technique is not difficult to learn, but offers the opportunity to create truly unique potholders. Whether for yourself, as a decoration for your next Oktoberfest themed party, or as a gift for others is up to you. The pattern includes instructions for the two potholders shown, plus two bonus patterns.
The finished pot holders have a size of approx. 20 cm x 19 cm.
The special thing about these potholders is that you can create two completely different sides for one potholder. The technique also makes the potholders nice and thick and therefore insulating excellently. At the same time, you save on sewing the threads - except for the finish - as they are worked directly into the potholder.
Knowledge and some routine in crocheting (chain stitch, single crochet, slip stitch) are required.
Knowledge of the Doubleface technique is an advantage, but not essential. The technique is explained in detail in the instructions. If you are using this technique for the first time, you should first crochet a small test piece according to the instructions to understand the principle. The main difficulty of these potholders lies in the special shape, which requires an increase and decrease in the number of stitches, and in the fact that the crocheting requires a certain amount of concentration and patience, since 4-5 colors are used and the front and back have different motifs.

In addition, instructions of the basic technique of doubleface crochet with enlarged photos and a video tutorial are provided.
To make a pair of potholders, you will need 1 ball of brown wool and scraps of green, yellow, red, blue and white (e.g. Schachenmayr Catania or similar quality: 100 % cotton, length 125 m per 50 g) and a crochet hook that matches the thickness of the wool.
