Beim Doubleface-Häkeln ist es möglich den Topflappen mit zwei vollkommen unterschiedlichen Mustern zu gestalten. Durch die Technik werden die Topflappen auch schön dick und somit hervorragend isolierend. Gleichzeitig spart man sich – bis auf den Abschluss - das Vernähen der Fäden, da diese direkt in den Topflappen eingearbeitet werden.
Mit diesem Download erhalten Sie eine ausführliche, 18-seitige PDF-Datei mit der Beschreibung und Fotos der Technik sowie den Vorlagen für die gezeigten Topflappen in deutsch und englisch (amerikanische Terminologie). Es werden Grundkenntnisse im Häkeln (Luftmasche, feste Masche, Kettmasche) vorausgesetzt. Kenntnisse der Doubleface-Technik sind nicht nötig, diese wird in der Anleitung ausführlich erläutert.

An Material benötigen Sie für die zweifarbige Variante ca. 2 Knäul Wolle (z. B. Schachenmayr Catania oder vergleichbare Qualität) in der Grundfarbe (natur oder weiß) und einen Knäul in braun oder schwarz. Für die dreifarbige Variante benötigt man außerdem noch ca. ½ Knäul in rot). Außerdem braucht man natürlich eine zur Dicke der Wolle passende Häkelnadel.

Basic knowledge in crochet (chain stitch, single crochet, slip stitch) is required. Knowledge of the doubleface technique is not required. The technique is explained in detail in the instructions. If you are using this technique for the first time, you should first crochet a small test piece according to the instructions in order to grasp the principle. After that, implementation is not difficult anymore.
To make a pair of potholders, you will need approximately two balls of wool (such as Schachenmayr Catania) in a base color (natural or white) and one ball of wool in brown or black for the two-color version. For the three-color version, you will also need approximately half a ball of red wool. You will also need a crochet hook suitable for the wool's thickness.
